Here's another fine example of Sony's prime superiority in their own technology. Seems you probably should have purchased a Funai clone!

Well, as it is common in software updates, there's probably some bug or flaw in the latest update. And guess what? Instead of Sony doing any proper QA of their software updates, they save money by having YOU, the consumer, discover their Beta-ish issues. It sucks, but there you have it. It's like with computers, I NEVER let Microsoft do automated updates without me examining what they're updating first. For example, I never let MS update drivers to software that they don't own or control themselves. At least 90% of the time when they try and update my NVIDIA drivers MS always hoses something up! What's frustrating is when they can't even get their OWN software updates correct!

I would do a little research on the web and find out if others are running into the same issue you're having, and with any luck, find if there's a patch to the failing update. Did the features work before you updated your firmware? If so, is there any way you can revert back to the last firmware that was working properly?

Best of luck.

it's like tim wrote. blu-ray was primarily developed by sony, but sony's blu-ray players are buggy as heck (right behind samsung).

So let me get this straight. This is a SONY only problem and my PS3 my not play the bonus features as well? Eddie, does your clone play the bonus features? OMG Tim, you are so correct. I never let M$ do updates without veiwing the details. That's why I take auto updates off.

our clones (mine, my gf's, my sister's) have not encountered any problems. i've been able to play everything on both "batman begins" and "the dark knight".
