I remember about a year or so ago it seemed like dvd's there were going up a little. Now Blu Ray online is about 5 dollars or more cheaper than they are. Didn't they used to be a deal? Even their store brand HDMI cord is 99 bucks. I have about had it with them. Walmart is about the same price on their blu movies but they did have some cheap ones too.

Rarely. I did purchase both Kill Bill films from them online for $9.99 each on Boxing Day, though.

I only go there if I'm in the mood for immediate satisfaction, which isn't very often.

I'll admit the folks at the BB across the street from work don't ask to see my license anymore for my credit card. They often have the best b/m price in the area. Plus, when I buy DVD presents, I prefer to get them from a local retailer in case they need to be exchanged.

I was in there last Friday to use some giftcards, actually.

I only buy from them when I see something I want on sale and even then it has to be a big sale. Futureshop is the same for me.

There are only a couple of things I want but I can wait til they really go on sale. I also check craigslist to see if someone is selling something for really cheap. In fact, today someone had a pair of $1,000 Paradigm speakers for $450 (asking). Amazing.

I made out rather well with both the Best Buy Canada and the Future Shop online Boxing Day sales.

I check all the stores, both B/M and online when I make a purchase.

Last week it was Future Shop online for my new Canon digital SLR camera and on the weekend for a new subwoofer for the car.

But today, it was Kill Bill I&II on Blu from Amazon Canada for $9.99 each plus the Bloom County Christmas and a Sinatra CD.

Tomorrow, my compulsion to buy will hit again and I will start the process over again

I look at the prices of Blu-ray discs at a Best Buy store, and they're usually in the $29.95+ range. I drive ten minutes across town to Fry's Electronics, and the same discs sell for $21.99-23.99.

I buy stuff from their online store... then I pick it up showing CHEAPER PRICES, of similar stuff, from competing stores. They end up matching the competitor prices... and I save time & fuel from going to a Mom & Pop's Electronic store.

Latest Catch: I helped my brother-in-law get a 52 inch samsung HDTV, $800 cheaper from their advertised price. They matched the SALE price from a furniture store, advertising the same model... and saved us 3 hours of travel.

When I want hardware, BB is a reasonable choice, but software (movies, games, etc.) is extremely overpriced. I can get Blus for less than half of the BB price.

For things on sale only, since I try to get good deals online, specially from Amazon or DeepDiscount...but again, most of us when buying big items, need to 'feel' the product before we buy it, and have the assurance that it will be easy to exchange.

So yes, I still shop at BB.
