Quote:It's not the same one from Batman Begins.

How is it different?

Oh, Wayne has the same pals from 'Begins' but the el is different. I forgot, you're bright.

Quote:TDK, and Ironman were clearly two of my favorites. Milk was really well done as well. I also liked Into the Wild and The Counterfeiters. I know Into the Wild was 07 but the HD DVD came out in 08'. Man on Wire was good as well. Hey what do I know...

Reaggie,

The caveat with our lists, as always, is what we've been able to see. I didn't get to Benjamin Button until this past weekend, outside the deadline for our lists. Milk is only playing about 45 minutes from me and I haven't been able to get there. Man on Wire looks infinitely entertaining, but I haven't been able to catch up with it.

I don't think I copied your list, but hey Those are what I liked. I didn't even read Williams, James, or yourselfs lists.

I also recently saw Quantum of Solace which I found kinda annoying but entertaining enough, and watched Burn after Reading which was entertaining but was not even close to being one of my favorites. Definately not in the my Top 10. The wife really wants to see Mr. Button, but I 'm dying to see Valkyrie. I am not a huge Cruise fan, but the story looks interesting. Another film that I liked that is absolutely terrible in every fashion, is Tropic Thunder. If I were to mention that I'm sure I would be cruicified... The reason I said, "hey, what do I know", was of my mention of Into the Wild. How about I do a bottom 10 of 08. LOL

Here it is,

The Hulk (Edward Norton)
The Love Guru (Three of four great one liners)
Speedracer (Dumb)
Jumper (Dumb, dumb, dumb)
Rambo (Why bother?)
Kung Fu Panda (Another heartfelt animal with a good heart.... blah)
First Sunday (Ice Cube Die)
Meet Dave (Like Eddie Murphy, but Dave is annoying)
10,000 BC (was kinda lost)
Made of Honour (Damn close to Definately Maybe, or even My Sassy Girl, they were all bad...)

Well, Reaggie, if I were to do a bottom 10 list, I think I'd swap "The Incredible Hulk" for "Hancock."

I think for my top Brooo-ray releases this year, and I'm basing this off the ones I currently own, I'd go with:

1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Wall-E
3. Iron Man
4. Pan's Labyrinth
5. L.A. Confidential

Bottom 10 would be very very very hard.

The Spirit
Hancock
Recount
Expelled
10000 BC
Mad Money
Aliens vs. Predator

And those are just the theatricals I saw.

Yeah, Havent made my way to bother with Hancock at this point. Everything I have heard, makes not want to bother. Otherwise if it is that bad it'll be right with the Hulk... LOL I just rented Righteous Kill, and I can see why it did so poorly. It was alright, but not great either.

Why are we turning this into another TDK glorification thread?? ...again, in a few years, you'll be able to take that blindfold from your eyes and see the movie without any bias, or any other 'external forces' tweaking your sense...remember '08 was "dark"...
