Of course the key is will they charge you for that DVD? After all Disney re releases titles a lot so even if you buy the new blu ray there is still a good chance you have an old copy of the DVD laying around. Maybe not as great as the newest release but still better than having to pay more for the bluray. Now if they don't charge any more I think this is pretty handy.

I would hope there's a two disc and three disc version available, like Wall-E. I personally have no use for yet another DVD copy of Snow White or Pinocchio.

Fantastic! This means that I can watch the bluray in the living room and throw the DVD on in the kids room and in the car.

This is so much better than digital copy!

The change might indicate that they have realized that Digital Copy is a bomb. Hopefully other studios will follow. I hate to say it but Disney BDs of classics are well worth double or triple dipping. The quality of those and their new releases absolutely blows me away.

I have to agree that the Disney Blu-rays I own are among the best in PQ.

I mean, yes, Pixar films are an easy double-dip...really hoping to get all the other Disney films in blu, since I already got Sleeping Beauty and Enchanted (which is pretty good)...great, no digital copy but a SD DVD

, which IS indeed useful.

Seriously, if that movie never makes it to BD it'll be too soon. Completely unengaging in every way.

Yeah Jason, I don't remember that one too much. I used to watch lots of classic Disney films when my daughter was much younger and I began to enjoy them much more when all the singing stopped happening.

Now that my kid is 16, she still loves all the Pixar films but just about vomits at the thought of having to watch an old Disney classic. Well, you know how it is for teens at that age -- Disney all of the sudden becomes "uncool".
