Hi!

Enjoyed reading your review of Random Harvest which was very accurate. However, your reviewer was unaware of the origins of the title. Random Harvest refers to a line from a First World War poem - it refers to the random way in which soldiers were killed by the spray of bullets from machine guns.

Thank you, doctor. I went back to Hilton's novel in hardbound, where the author quotes in the book's preface: "According to a British Official Report, bombs fell at Random." I added that line to the review.
