Nevermind his stellar performance in Brokeback Mountain. So you pity the dead by giving him an award to a so-so performance. Truly laughable. http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/entertainment/01/12/09/heath-ledger-wins-posthumous-golden-globe

Well Heath wouldn't be the first actor living or dead to get an award he deserved for the part that didn't deserve it. Unless anyone here thinks Al Pacino's performance in "Scent of a Women" (which he won an Oscar for) was better then his performance in "Godfather part 2" (which he was nominated but lost).

Kate Winslet won two GGs for what I thought were the two most ridiculous and offensive movies of the year. So I have to give her credit for that.

I'm glad Mickey Rourke won but I wish he had said "balls" a few more times.

Yeah, I'm watching right now. Danny Boyle just got the award for best director. I have a couple words for Danny, "brush and comb"!

Colin Farrell just won best actor in a musical/comedy for "In Bruges". It's a really good film, if you haven't seen it. John and I loved it! But wow, was Colin ever nervous picking up the award! Dang, you could see the guy shaking and was all fidgety.

And is it just me, or does Dustin Hoffman seems like an arrogant, pompous ass? The guy was up on stage with Emma Thompson and he's standing there with this smug look on his face, as if he feels he's better than anyone in the room. Well, you know how visual impressions can be, eh.

Xplay, I think Heath deserved the award. I know people are quick to say he's getting all this recognition now because he passed away but I think his performance would have received the same praise regardless if he were alive.

Tim, I totally noticed it too but I interpreted it a little differently. The "vibe" I got from it was that he does not like Emma Thompson. He just seemed to squirm at everything she said.

Ledger's performance deserved it. Glad he won, and he better win the Oscar as well.

It's useless to say "he should've", because it won't turn back time...but yes, I did enjoy more his acting in Brokeback than TDK.

Ledger deserved to win for this AND Brokeback. This is no "sympathy" vote.

Hilary freakin Swank has 2 oscars for crying out loud!!! "Yeah" the girl can play a man. So what.
