I went on Saterday and wasn't impressed. There were a lot of people there. And sale prices vary by liquidator but here is Charlotte Blu Ray's were still full price (very high full price) Most Tv's were already on sale and not marked down any more. I didn't get a chance to look at the video games. Odds and ends seemed like the best deal though still cheaper online. Just curious if any one else went by there.

The BD's won't be reasonable for a few weeks. I'll check in at the end of the month.

Ya know...gotta pad that collection of mine.

A little heads up. There was an article on ABCNEWS about liquidation sales and basically they are bogus BS. CC no longer operates the stores, liquidators took over. What they do is re-sticker the items and price them at or above retail, sometimes 10-20% above MSRP, then they deduct 10-20% making you think you get a bargain when in all actuality you are not. You are just paying full price for an item you cannot return.

It is the biggest sucker punch in the world.

Here is the article: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=6326174&page=1

I had a $15 gift card and went out and used it right away. It paid for half of my tax software. There were a lot of people there, a LOT! As I was entering , I saw a lot of people leaving, without anything.

I thought you had to have an item at a certain price for a certain number of days per month to be able to claim that is the "normal" price? Let the buyer beware!

Here is an example how the liquid guys inflate the price. I went in last night, went and looked at the Blu Ray movies. They had T2 stickered at 29.99, it was a plain white sticker and it was a new sticker. Now that movie, along with about a dozen more are going for 10.00 to 14.99 at Wal Mart, Target and even Best Buy. So you see how the liquid guys work the prices.

I would say you will have to wait at least untilt the prices hit 50% or even 75% off to get any Blu Ray or SD DVD bargains.

My friend and I went to see what was up at CC on Monday night. Tons of people there but not many buying anything. DjFunk has described exactly what is going on there. Everything is jacked up in price with most things only a measly 10% off. At this point you would be paying more than the current cost elsewhere, lol. DVDs and BluRays are 20% off but still cost more than buying on amazon.

The liquidation is a big BS scam.

In addition to that they took all of their display/open box items, repriced them to the original list price then gave 10% off of that. You would be paying more for those items then before the sale started. Big waste of time. It will take weeks before prices are reasonable to look at, and by then all of the suckers will have purchased most of the items that were worthwhile.......

I saw that with the openbox items. What a sham.

The local WASH DC TV station exposed circuit city in Maryland and Virginia, saying about the prices being changed and a few other discrepancies. The local store managers denied, even when the TV reporter showed proof.

CROOKS!
