*Sigh* I said it before, but I'll say it again.

I'm passing on the BD version. I have no use for three versions of the movie for a bloody $40.. Release a stupid 1/2 Disc BD set and I'd be there. Not this garbage. You're letting me down, Disney.

Just checked Wal Mart on line, and they have it for 27.86 That seems like a good deal for what you are getting.

"Bolt" has a suggested retail price of $29.99 (U.S.) and $35.99 (Canada) on1-Disc DVD, $32.99 (U.S.) and $40.99 (Canada) on 2-Disc DVD Set, and $39.99 (U.S.) and $49.99 (Canada) on Blu-ray.

From the press release. Even if the set is discounted, I'm still not paying for two versions of the movie I don't need/want. If Disney or any studio wants to include DVD copies, make a special 2/3 Disc BD edition for those people. I'm sick of this "2-Disc SE" bullcrap where Disc 2 is just a...OMG...Digital Copy or other copy of the movie.

Sleeping Beauty, IIRC, came with a DVD copy too. I don't recall off the top of my head. Ratatouille, Cars and Enchanted do not.

I wouldn't doubt it. Back in 98 when Disney first began to release their library on DVD, the average cost was in the $45 range, double that of any other studio at the time! Back in those days, Fry's Electronics was the best place to get DVD's and Disney had their own little rack. I'd check it every now and then to see if the prices would drop, but no such luck from the greed factory.

I agree, Jason! The "idiot" marketing is getting old! I've had Blu-ray for close to a year now and a little over 40 in my collection. Each one with the "extra features" disc. In all that time I've only ever watched one of the extra features disc . . . only ONE! As far as I'm concerned, just sell me the damn movie, as I could care less about all the stupid bells and whistles!

ATTENTION WAL MART SHOPPERS!!!

BOLT Blu Ray + DVD Combo Pack = $27.86

It does say that it retails for $39.99 but the price is what it is. I am not down with the digital copies, I think they are a joke. But if it is packaged with a SD DVD, that is worth it. C'mon guys I have a Mom-In-Law who is and will not go Blu. So she always comes to my place, yea we live very close, like I am her local Blocbuster Video. So when I buy Blu and it has a SD DVD copy, well I score some huge bonus points LOL!!!

Then let the people who want the SD version pay for it while those of us who don't...don't. Same thing went for the 1 disc and 2 Disc DVD's we get. If you don't want the extras, buy the 1 disc. If you do want them, fork out some more money for the 2 disc. By only putting the 2 disc (essentially) on the shelf, you're cutting off market.

I won't disagree the DC's and DVD's are good for some people. Just not me.

JJ all I am saying is that this Blu Ray bonus DVD may retail for 40.00 but you can get it at Wally World at the price I stated. I mean, the last few big titles that came out on Blu Ray you were able to get for about the same price as BOLT. So you are really getting the SD DVD as a bonus. I mean on an average, when a big title is released on Blu Ray (ie. The Dark Knight) the average price during the first week in release is around 25.00.

Thats all I am saying.

I understand that. My only point is I DO NOT WANT the DVD or DC as a "bonus." They are not a "bonus" to me. They require extra shelf room and it's one more thing to complicate a buying decision and one more reason for retailers to tack on a few dollars to the asking price.
