Take it all with a grain of salt but according to internet rumors the next chains to close down will be Sears and Lane Bryant. Sears would make sense. I've noticed over the past year or so they have been opening up small appliance only stores and that is probably their main source of revenue now. So maybe they will close their big store locations and stick with a more streamlined appliance only focus. Will be sad though considering how long sears and roebuck have been around. (About 100 yrs I think)
I'm not sure I believe the rumor about lane bryant though. As much as we Americans like to eat I think plus size clothing stores will be around for awhile. If you google the stories you'll find the links.
And before I get attacked like the last time I mentioned the rumors about circuit city and linens and things (which turned out to be true by the way) I want to mention that I hope no one loses their jobs. Eventually if stores keep closing it will affect all of us. The main thing is to pray for those who have lost jobs and be thankful if you still have yours.

Yes I did see that on Yahoo news, but SEARS-K Mart and Lane Bryant are not the only ones on the chopping block. They also stated that The Gap, Zales,Eddie Bauer and Timberland are also on the list. But SEARS is a disapointment, yes they have been around forever, but they lost alot of their zing. When I bought my new TV last week, I went there to have them do thier magical price match and they told me that their system was down. You see. They did not have the TV in stock (there's a surprise) and they had to order the TV. Chad the sales associate said he would call me later to advise me when he would be able to get the TV. Well guess what, no call and I purchased another TV at Best Buy.
So then I emailed a complaint to SEARS, they passed it on to the manager in the sales department and here's what I got. An apology and the hopes that I would consider SEARS in the future. When I told him that I was not planning on buying any major electronic purchases, He then says well if you are looking for some tools or something I hope you consider us. Wow, the electronics department pushing for the tool department. And they wonder why they are in the position that they are.
