the man may have temper issues...or maybe he was just having a bad day. i really don't care as long as he continues to be a good actor. however, if he were to speak to me that way i would have kicked his teeth in.

Well lets also factor in that some actors become the character they are portraying... the guy was probably so deep in character that it was just John "Christian Bale" Connor yelling at the DP. I mean you guys act like Actors are just playing pretend on stage but seriously... Acting is serious business. and I'm not using the meme. When you invest so much time, effort, and pure raw emotion into crafting and creating a character and are working on a film, you don't want some dipshit wandering around while the cameras are rolling "checking the lights". Then you have to do multiple takes which costs both time and money.

I'd be pissed at the DP if I were in the same position as Mr. Bale.

bale is a chode whether or not one takes acting seriously. the rank-and-file of the movie industry are lucky to make $25,000 to $50,000 a year, and their efforts make it possible for a handful of actors to command $20 mil paychecks. the least that someone in bale's position can do is to show some appreciation for the grunts who helped make him a big star in action movies.

And should those grunts be dicking around while they're shooting, they should be put into their place. Yes, Bale may have went a little too far but a Director of Photography should know better then to interfere with -anything- while they're rolling. When you're working on a Mutli-Million dollar film, it doesn't matter whether you make 18,000 or 20 million. You. Don't. Mess. Up. Especially when this guy had done it several times previous.

there's still no excuse for bale to behave like a chode. if the DP is really incompetent, then people will eventually stop hiring him.

bale needs therapy...here's a guy who doesn't think much of beating up his mom and his sister.
