OK so I just sunk some cash into my new 42 inch LG and now I am looking for an inexspensive 32 inch LCD. I am making a gaming room for my daughter (ok and me) I don't want to spend no more than 450 and I have been looking at a lot of he off brands(Insignia, Sylvania,Magnavox,Dynex, Emerson) So can anyone out there give me there opinion on the better off brand TV?

I have a 37" Vizio. It's absolutely amazing. 1080i But... it's also an older model. My grandparents just bought a 50" Vizio and it's also absolutely amazing. I suggest Vizio. Affordable and great quality.

I forgot to mention AOC, I have been reading some good reviews on this off brand TV.

I was going to say, Biker, it you're just looking for a cheap set for a game room, then go with a simple Visio, or whatever you might be able to pick up at Walmart!

Seriously, though, I've been thinking about a 32" for a computer monitor and the Visio's are about the best bet in price, plus they really don't look half bad at all. I mean really, if it's not meant for serious viewing pleasure, then certainly go with a better buy, price wise that is.

Yeah, that's right, my Walmart had the same damn thing and it was not all that bad from what I saw. Hell, when it comes to a computer monitor for gaming, a set like that is near perfect and nothing to scoff at.

Also for a 32" or even 37" TV, 1080i will do just fine. I saw some Vizio TV's last weekend at Walmart and Sams Club and I have to admit that I was impressed with the picture quality.

I'd look at Vizio, Samsung, Toshiba, Sony (although usually overpriced), Panasonic Viera, Sharp. If you see one that has a great image (remember get a good contrast ratio) at a good price then go for it.

I am actually hooking up a 360 and a Wii and thats all I will using it for. What is a good contrast ratio for gaming only? And again, is this AOC TV I have been reading about, is really that good or is it all BS???

I have never heard of the AOC brand. Anyway...alot of these "generic" sets come off the same line anyway and sometimes they aren't very much different than the so called "name brands." It AIN'T like the ol' days friend when generics were "generic". Vizeo has sold ALOT of tv's!
