Hello,
My older Samsung 1080p TV will not play any BD movies off of the PS3. I know it’s a problem with my TV, I hooked up the PS3 on two different TVs (Via HDMI) and it worked just fine.
It will display the games and DVD movies just fine.

Do any of you guys know what could be wrong?

It has to be the HDMI connection to your TV. Did you try to connect it using component cables?

No, I didn't try that but I'll give it a shot.

Thanks.

Last year I had a problem with my PS3 where the BD drive failed, it started with games/movies working at first then locking up after a few mins. I called Sony and they shipped me a box, and I sent it away for them to replace the BD drive. Not sure if that's what's going on here, but something you should keep in mind. Good luck.

Samsungs are known to have HDMI issues so that could be it unless you changed the display settings on your PS3 somehow. It could also be your HDMI cable itself. Maybe you need an update or something? Have you downloaded an update lately to the PS3? Maybe that caused the issue.

This is true Falcon. Sharp LCD's also have audio issues through HDMI. Our tech department is always firing off e-mails to Sharp and Samsung about firmware updates for HDMI handshakes. They are less than efficient at updating them. Buy a Toshiba, Phoney or Panasonic...
