The Wii is killing everyone. I would never have thought that the less powerful gaming system would outsell more hardware and software than the more powerful XBOX 360 and PS3.

Now I see why SONY is developing the PS3 Game/Blu Ray DVD Movie combo.

Falcon, little kids rule the world. And besides, not only does the Wii appeal to the little ones, but me the wife and my daughter have some very serious bowling tournaments. It is sort of like Disney, not only do they make movies for the kids, but they also make them to appeal to adults.

My guess is that the main reason for the Wii is such a hit is that it appeals to a crowd that do not normally buy gaming consoles. So, in fact it is not kids that want the Wii but their parents. Kids wants what has the most power and games (including violent shooters) - something they don't get on the Wii.

Actually, it is a big hit with the kids. My 16-year old daughter loves her wii, and so do all her friends. Nevertheless, they love shooter and GTA platform games, as well.

The reason I think it has done so well is:
1.) Price
2.) Interactivity (get's you off the couch)
