my coffin/box showed up today for my ps3, hopefully they wont give me any issues with the warrenty since its almost over, i dont really want to "pay to play"....lol i have actually 4 days unitl my warrenty expires

Coincidentally, my PS3 wasn't reading a bluray disc of Madagascar this morning. I could hear it spinning and spinning but nothing else happened, the PS3 stayed on the menu screen where you have PHOTO, VIDEO, GAME, etc.

I had to turn it off, turn off the switch in the back for a minute, then turn the switch back on and turn on the PS3 from the front touch button. After that reboot it played the disc.

I hope this doesn't mean mine is dying.

Ps3's are notorious for the drives going out. I have yet to buy a game on a disc. But I watch a TON of BD and SD movies on it. For games I stick mostly to the PSN games, that's usually where the innovation and fun is. Except for Little Big Planet, I really wanna get that and check it out.

i own the 60g and it runs great. i also own a first gen ps2 and have beat it to a pulp for years with games and movies on my 27" wega. it cries a bit when trying to load movies however it still runs!

yeah thats what mine ps3 did right before it went out, i was watchn the band of bros blu set and it did that 2 times on me during watchn that series, then i went like 2 weeks without watchn anything on it or turning it on for that matter, and thats when i found out it didnt work
