Greetings, just seeking some guidance please. I am obviuously totally new to this and I need some help please. I just purchased a Sony HT-CT100 soundbar system and I am hooking it up to a Vizio LCD tv. I also have an XBox 360. What would be the best way to connect the speaker system and XBox into the TV? Should I utilize HDMI for the XBox and use the fiber optic for the speakers? Any help woudl be appreciated, thanks in advance!

If you have an extra HDMI out for sound then go HDMI. But optical will also sound very good. To me, I really cannot tell the diffy with the sound output. But again, my wife tells me that I am hard of hearing anyways, so take that into consideration. LOL

Well if you don't have HDMI for sound then the only other choice for surround sound from the xbox 360 is by optical. I have mine hooked up with Component cables for video and optical for sound, it all works fine that way.
