Well, I got Netflix a few months ago (three? four?) and I like the service, specially the XBOX 360 thing, which is where I've been able to watch the excellent Jericho...

Anyways, I've wanted to ask the ones of you who also have Netflix about your satisfaction and experience with it. Why? Because of the time I tend to get the movies. Granted, I live in the south most tip of the US, here in South Texas, but sometimes I get my movies in a week, and sometimes overnight!?

Yes, sometimes they say they shipped the movie on a Wednesday and I get it on the next week and fewer times, for example yesterday (Friday), they sent a movie and I got it today (!) (Saturday).

So how about you?

Wonderful.
I normally get the movies in two days. (One to get there, one to get back here.)
I have had a few that were unplayable in places, but not for a LONG time.
I don't use the instant streaming as my connection is only 256K and is slower than U-tube. Netflix says you need at least 1.5Mb/s, and 3Mb/s for DVD quality. Can anyone verify that?
They don't work on Saturdays so [if you send it in on Friday, you won't get it until Tuesday. ]if you send it in on Friday, you won't get it until Tuesday. .

They are much quicker than Blockbuster was for me. If I send a movie back to them on Monday I get the next one on Wednesday. They are pretty consistent. When I watched the streaming on my laptop attached to the tv it was pretty miserable. However, thru the XBOX 360 the viewing has been a pleasure.

i have had netflix about 5 years I think. I love it. I get 99% of everything the day after I they mail it. They get everything the day after I mail it. But they are in one of our suburbs I guess you would call it. I have had blockbuster online a couple times and never kept it because of their slow shipping. Netflix is always same day unless you get some weird title. Over all really great. I usually go through 5 or 6 titles with the 3 at a time plan

I agree.. 2 day turnaround to get movies compared to 3-5 days from Blockbuster.

Blockbuster's days are numbered. Many of you will disagree because they are the only large chain to be found everywhere left. However, lackluster business and failed business ventures are putting a hurt on them.

I have used both and the only thing that I like better about blockbuster is that I can exchange the movies in store. I actually have a distribution center here in KC and I get the movies very quickly. Other than that I think netflix does a better job. I am very satisfied with blockbuster because of the ability to exchange in store.

Blockbuster ships from my city as well. But the problem I had was that If they got 2 movies back on monday they would only ship one and wait until the next day to ship the other. And then if they got one on tuesday they would wait until the next day to ship the other. So then you couldn't get it and mail it back to get anything for the weekend. They have nothing on netflix. Though their stores do have video games.

I have had nothgin but good experiences with NetFlix. Both the disc sevice and the Xbox 360 streaming have been nothing but great! I heard some rumors of it coming to the PS3 and Wii as well. If that's the case, then Netflix is probably the best company in America to work for right now.

I live in Baltimore and my Netflix dist. cent. is in Rockville, Md. a suburb of Washington D.C. . And my movies have a 2 day turnaround. I have a 3 rental agreement and one time 2 movies come one day instead of 3. I called and they told me if it was not there by the next day to give them a call back. Sure enough it came in the mail the next day, but other than that I love Netflix.

As for streamming to your game console..well..I've never been a fan of this. My son uses it for his 360. My HTPC does an excellent job of displaying Netflix streams to my TV. I'll leave HD picture and sound to blu-ray.
