This movie did nothing to improve the reputation of the city of Detroit. Mind you, I liked it, but did it have to be one of the country's most economically hit areas? This would have worked with any other city in the country...but it had to be Detroit in order to use the auto industry storyline.

Between this and Robocop, Detroit might as well be blown up...

^ As do I. About 45 minutes. Actually, I pass by the Silverdome (former home of the Lions) on the way home everyday and see the Palace (home of the Pistons) every weekend.

Along with The Wrestler, the best movies of this past 12 months...robbed at most of the award shows...is just a great movie...

I will buy this on release day...

I know exactly where Royal Oak is. I live in Waterford now, but Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills previously.
