if you get the chance to see this its probably one of the better sports films of recent times. Set in the 1970's when Leeds United (english football team for those who don't know) were the best team around and they had a turbulent time with a new young manager (Brian Clough). Stars Micheal Sheen of Underworld fame.

i have a personal interest as Leeds United is my home team

I'd say Michael Sheen is more well known for "Frost/Nixon" and "The Queen," despite his being in, what, three "Underworld" movies? But what do I know about "Underworlds." He's also playing the White Rabbit in Tim Burton's upcoming "Alice in Wonderland," among other things.

If he's in "The Damned United," it might be worth watching for him alone.

well he is getting quite a reputation as a quality character actor over here in england as he also played Tony Blair in a tv series/film

i would however be very suprised if 'the damned united' is shown in the US, but who knows
