We all have been wating for the PS3 to plummit, well Joystiq.com has reported that the PS 2 will drop to $99.99 next week. If this RUMOR is true, it will run in next Sunday's add.

The thing that amazes me, is that the PS 2 is still being produced. Is it not true, that when a company comes out with a better updated product, the new version is to replace the old version?

The big problem for Sony is that the PS2 has been too profitable to let go. Especially when you consider that they have lost a lot on the PS3.

I guess when they make enough money on the PS3 they will let go of the old PS2. This should also help boost PS3 sales even further.

So SONY announced today, that the PS 2 is getting the cut and no news on a PS 3 cut. According to news reports, the PS 2 will dip below $99 in the US and will be $99 in the UK.

After further review, they are not cutting the PS 3, only the PS 2.

Too bad they weren't announcing that they were DROPPING the PS2 all together and then dropping the price of the PS3. Oh well. I already have a PS3 so.. whatever.

Wow! Who are these crazy people buying such ancient technology. The Wii has some weak graphics but I'd sure buy it over the PS2. Cheap garbage is still garbage.

I tend to agree. However, I have the same reservations for the Wii. It's graphics is simply to weak for my taste.

Graphics or no graphics, the Wii is just plain old FUN. And it is FAMILY fun at it's best.
