Yeah, can't wait to see the transfer on these babies. Although i have to say i am a bit worried about how the FX will look on 1080. I recently watched ROTK on SD and it's starting to age...not well.

Yep, waiting for the BIG D-cuts. I'm not even tempted by this feeble attempt to throw the measly theatrical versions at us.

AGREE^ This is BD.(50GIGS!).. and should contain BOTH cuts...so this doesnt really excite me at all. Infact, it may very well infuriate me.

Yes, it infuriates me, too! And the reason why is because it's the usual "milking" politics these studios do and I'm sick of it! I mean, do they really think I'm going to buy the theatrical releases first and then go out and buy the extended versions later? How much of a sucker do they think people really are?

peter jackson needs to release half-hour versions of each movie so that the trilogy is only 90 minutes total.
