As part of their ongoing process of releasing the movie on HDN, DVD at the same time the movie hit's the metro plex. Magnolia Pictures will show Mutant Chronicles tonight on HDN in full HD splendor. It will then be relased in theaters and DVD on Friday.
This movie actually looks pretty cool and it stars John Malkovich. They used the same process, 99% Green Screen, as they did for Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow.

I was no fan of Sky Captain but Mutant Chronicles had some good action. It was definitely a B movie but had some exciting parts in it. That being said I'm not a real big fan of the way some of hollywoods movies are going with everything fake except the actors. IMO, if you don't have the money then don't make it for the big screen.

Basicaly I wouldn't pay money to see this flick but it was free on tv so why not check it out? The thing that dissapointed me was the overuse of expletives to the point it was just corny and the gore was to the extreme. If they had more story to go on they wouldn't have had to fill the holes with those kind of things. It's a guilty pleasure for scifi adicts who will watch anything(ie. made for scifi channel movies).
