Well, not THAT bad. I actually enjoyed when I watched it last year on HD DVD.

Oh, I love the new cover art

This was a fun movie in the 80's when it came out but now that effects are so bad.

Isn't the bad effect a part of fun? Or am I being to nostalgic ?

It's nostalgia...outdated effects don't matter, but I couldn't stand the production values and the story, it's bad and not enjoyable, and it should've been PG-13 for the playboy thing and whatnot...

Really, regardless of effects, the movie didn't work for me, it never felt 'big', it was bad...

I loved this movie as a kid, and it is still great fun now. Robert Preston was great. Naturally, an anniversary edition is announced a month after I bought the current collector's edition...

It was special in the 80's. Then again, so were spandex and big hair!

Point is, some things life you look back on and wonder, 'What the hell were we thinking!?'

Tim, I actually queued this one and The Black Hole, and The Black Hole is the best of the both, specially because it's 2001 meets Apocalypse Now meets R2-D2...if only they hadn't aimed at being a 'kids' film, it would've been even better...
