Um, what's the point of this? Blu-ray in your car? OK, I can see DVD in the car because it's not high-def.....but what's the point of watching Blu-ray on a tiny screen in your car?! Just a dumb idea.

I'll pass on this one. I'm waiting for Blu-ray high definition on the iPhone and Blackberry.

well, this does save you from having to buy both a blu-ray version and a dvd version, especially when it comes to studios that don't include both (i.e. anything that isn't a disney or fox children's release). besides, if we end up replacing most of our collections with blu-ray versions, we'll be ready. plus, a blu-ray player can play both blu-rays and dvds.

it's true that a car is prolly not ideal for lossless audio and 1080p, but how many people in the world really pipe dd or dts 5.1 in their cars any way?

The problem, as I see it, is how they're going to fit a DVD or Blu-ray disc into an iPod. Of course, Blackberry will solve the problem by making a model with a 52" screen. It will be great for texting in restaurants and motion-picture theaters but a drag trying to manage in a car while you're driving.
