For example I recently bought a brand new album at HMV for $11.99. Not only did I get the vinyl, but 320kbps DRM-free MP3s. I would have paid $9.99 to get 160kbps MP3s alone from iTunes. Sounds like a deal to me.
Also some offer higher quality formats than MP3 as an option for the digital copy.

You see, in the old days, it was all about the "album" experience. On LP's it's not so easy to skip over to another song you want to hear, or you have to flip the record over to the second side. If we get back to the LP experience, musicians will feel the need to make a better, more well rounded LP. For example, you really can't appreciate Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon without playing the LP from start to finish. I think the return of vinyl records might actually make musician's realize they have to come up with an "album" rather than a good record with 5 or 6 songs that stand out. Instead, they'll have to get creative and make records that can be appreciated from start to finish.
Well, that's my take on it and I dare any of you to challenge me on this!
