The clips shows the camera in movement all the time. Much like Bourne 3 and Quantum of Solace. Hope it is not too bad.

The opening sequence is a bit tough to handle considering the characters, situation and setting are brand new. Abrams calms the camera down considerably after that, but it's still feels too close to the action and too herky-jerky in the action sequences.

There's isn't any denying this is a new Trek, though.

Jason, fan of fluidity

Personally I prefer steady and fluid motions. Not shaky shots. If I want that I can look at the video I shot while on vacation

I'm guessing without the special effects shots, though!

A constantly shaking camera, plus constant artificial-looking lens flares to make conversations more interesting when you are aboard the Enterprise apparently.

Chef...plentiful, but not constant.

Personally, I didn't have any problem with them. They seem perfectly natural to me, considering the types of sets and lighting schemes used.

Jason, engaging

My daughter is taking me to see it tomorrow, and paying. Miracles never cease. She finally came around. It only took 30 years!

I got to see an early IMAX screening of it at my work last night. I haven't really liked Star Trek since I was a kid, but this movie brought back my love. I'm gonna watch the original series and the movies again now. It's such a fun freaking movie. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
