Been shopping around a while and ive been looking for something to replace my 42 inch phillips plasma, and i found a great deal on amazon.com i got a 50 inch Panasonic plasma , i went to best buy checked it out first, picture looked amazeing, so i did some research on cnet.com and tv got good reviews, i cant wait!!!!! i also order 4 new 1.3v hdmi cables since my tv does that deep color thing(not sure what its called) im all set!!!! i cant wait to start watchn my blu rays on this beast!!!

my g-friend has one of these. not sure if it's the same model#, probably not, however hers cost $1,200 this past christmas and is a very nice set. just remember to break it in!

Good point Blade. Make sure you don't have any tickers, scoreboareds, logos...basically any still images on the screen for at least the first 100 hours. Also if your TV has a setting or function to prevent burn-in, use it. On the Pioneer TV's it's called Orbiter but it may be called something else on Panasonics.

Great purchase btw. Let us know what you think once you get some viewing on it.

I have a 50" Panasonic Plasma. Of those models, the ones I see going for around $1,200 are usually the 720p models. My set is a 1080p Viera series. It does come with pixel shifting to help prevent screen burn, and I know mine was turned on already when I checked. Great set, though!
