O.K. I know many of you just finished watching the Lost finale. I did successfully predict that Locke's body would be in that box before it was finally shown. (Took me about 30 minutes though to figure it out) And of course scenes of Brad Pitt waving a gun muttering "What's in the booooxxxxxx? flashed through my head for a few minutes.
Felt overall it was a pretty good finale. And in typical Lost fashion it answered some questions while leaving others open ended. Really wondering now about the other guy who was trying to kill Jacob. I'm thinking he is Jacob's brother or twin or something and he is also the smoke monster and he's been using his ability to appear as anyone in order to manipulate everyone to get a chance to kill Jacob. I did kinda hate that the episode ended with the h-bomb going off and nothing else showing afterwards. I was hoping at least for a flashback or forward hinting that the future was changed. I did notice though right after the epidose ended during the quick add for season 6 it showed what appeared to be Jack waking up and looking up with the sky reflected in his eyes. Guess more answers will come in season 6.

Interesting... I had a feeling it was John in the Box, but then again it is the Island and out of Body experiences may also happen. If John were to leave the Island I'm sure he would die again, but who knows... Losing Juliette sucked, but I'm sure after the bomb goes off, it kicks them back in time to a different time, and everyone is safe again for the final season. It would not surprise me but, all of the previous dead cast come back for the finale... I don't really know but that is the fun part of this whole show...

Just remember this, way back during season number one. Walt was reading a comic book, I think it was the Green Lantern and it was in spanish. In that edition, there was a picture of a polar bear, but it also had something to do with aliens. Now if you gotta a good look at Jacobs tapestry, it looks like people our looking up into the sky, warshiping somehting that may be ET like. And I can remember that JJ Abrams said that they picked that comic book for a reason. I mean, look at the foot of the statue he is living in. It has only 3 toes, and the statue actually looks like the people on Jacobs tapestry. So that's just another thought to ponder on LOST or what I like to call : LOST The Island of Quantum Leap!!!

And one other thing, the final episode was not even close to last year. I was actually getting a little bored half way through it.

i hope that we are dealing with "angelic" forces and not "alien".

the writers of the show have publicly stated that even when the series ends, their will still be "questions"...hence, no cute tiny little bow to wrap. use your imagination, make the show what you want it to be....

the statue is key. is it angelic or alien? the thought of GODS appeals to me.

ofcoarse we could end up with the oceanic six as being trapped in a vortex of destiny of which they have lived many lives...

Like I said, it is ALIEN in nature. Remember I called this one next year when we are talking about the final season.

It was a good finale. Seeing Jacob and his story totally changed the way I look at the show from S1 til now. This whole time Ben was nobody and neither was Locke for that matter. I think the white logo ending signifies a change now that we have seen Jacob. The Statue is Egyptian as well as the tapestry. But the tapestry has Greek writing on it. Notice Jacob touched each person he visited and it seems Hurley is very important.

Yes Bull it is Egyptian in nature, but like I said, on the tapestry they are worshiping something from the sky. Yes it may be GOD like in nature, but again I go back to that comic book from season number one. I remember reading the interview with JJ Abrams, who made mention to that issue, the aliens in the issue and how that comic book was very important to the whole show.
