Personally I find it very unlikely that they would change the logo.

I mean care if they launch a slim ps3 not if they change the logo. though I don't think many would care about that either, but still not what i meant.

It depends on if the price was different and if it offered any other difference when compared to the current PS3's. They could make it slimmer and cut back some features to make it cheaper. If it's cheaper they could sell more units, etc.

Maybe it's just a cosmetic difference. I know some people really dislike the look of the PS3, myself included. So if they make a better looking version it may appeal to more people.

For example, when they released the slim PS2's, people preferred those more than the big and clunky older versions.

Lots of PS3 haters in here. There is nothing wrong with the PS3. It is a Blu player and a gaming system. What's to hate?

Aside from the cosmetics there is nothing to hate....although I wish it would Bitstream the HD audio streams.

BTW I have one and use it pretty much everyday.

I really don't like the controller myself. But most people seem to prefer it. I was making a reference to their sales. No one buys no one cares. I considered buying one as a second gaming system to play games like Kill Zone but decided against it.

I have seen these pictures on another website, Kotaku, and they seem to come from a Chinese magazine. This is probably just a knock off of some sort or photo shop. The pictures themselves are extremely grainy too.

I think Sony will not be making the system slimmer because Sony keeps saying they have no desire to change it for the time being. Also, they can't have a price drop because they would be losing so much more money on top of how much they're already losing per system.

I own one and to be honest, I love my DMP-BD30K more than my PS3 for Blu-Ray play as well as up converting. I think that buying it may have been a mistake for me, but maybe some games will eventually be out that I'll want to play. But for right now, I'll just stick with my 360 for games and my Panny for movies.
