Disney dvd's - playback fades in & out. Player connected through VCR input (sylvania 3 yr old). Take VCR out of equation all is well! Tried different VCR (Toshiba- 5yr old) works fine. Junk VCR?, Disney snafu?, Setting? Soooo...based on the fact it's probably a copy protection issue. Will a A/V Switch give me the inputs I want without the troubles?

I had a TV/VCR combo unit back in college which would do the same thing when I plugged in my first DVD player.

To expand on this a bit, the copy protection thinks the VCR is there to illegally record the program. Thus, when you play the DVD through the VCR, the screen turns sixteen different colors, fades in and out and becomes unwatchable.

Unless your a sadist, of course.
