If he thinks what he does is so hard he'll have a rude awakening when they hire someone else for part 3 and it's just as good if not better then his efforts.

Is it just me or does anyone else get tired of actors and directors complaining about being attached to these big name projects. From the cast of Spidey 3 to that girl from Twilight to now Michael Bay. Seriously shut up receive your great paycheck and thank your lucky stars you're part of a big money franchise that most people would kill to be a part of and no one in charge has figured out that there's probably someone more talented then you.

well, "Art movie" in a winery in france requires a good script and good direction (i hope he wasn't talking about "a good year" cause that movie sucked).

I don't think michael bay knows how to work with actors or actually shoot a decent script. He'll cover everything on dollies, jibs and flaring lights and think it's cool. His movies look like his company's commercials.

I Think bay came to be the epitomy of the factory-type hollywood. In my opinion it's not bad, he does action best i guess. He's probably having a career crisis thinking "am i gonna do this forever?" because apparently he doesn't like what he sees anymore. Other people do action too, look at Nolan, favreu, etc etc, but they are smart enough to attach character in there, and then it makes all the difference in the world. It really doesn't matter if the action sequence is well covered in polished music-video-ish photography, it's the damn story and characters.

Anyway, if he shoots a drama or smt small, ill be the first one to line-up and buy me a ticket, just to see if he can direct something with less than 200 million at his disposal, and why not, be pleasantly surprised.

Who are we to judge this guy? I say let him try something other then action. I'd like to see him do a Drama or comedy or some such thing.

I'd have to agree with Mike, as I have to admit I'd be very curious to see if Bay can actually do an art-house, meaningful film. Call it morbid curiosity if you'd like.

I'd like to see Michael Bay take a shot at remaking "My Dinner with Andre."

Couldn't agree more Bladerunner

Mike will do another. How could he refuse the enormous checks he's getting. I think he is just tired and hoping to get a bigger check each new release. Heck with the money he is making he could finance entire movies in the future and take all profits.

...yeah, well, keep it low everyone, apparently we're not getting our "BAY-ART FILM" cause the guy reported on a blog that "the press twisted his words" and all he ment was "taking a break before shooting the next one"

Damn it! Just imagine something like "Sideways" filtered through his brain... we missed it!
