That was awesome! "Robot Chicken" rules! I record an episode every night just to keep caught up.

Yeah, I just saw it today, and I agree it's time for Bay to go. After the first two minutes, I just...wanted...the...movie...to...end.

Remember how the first "Transformers" movie concluded with a big battle that seemed to last forever? That's all there is to this second entry. The good robots fight the bad robots for about ten hours of screen time, which go by about ten times slower than that.

Its sound effects are noisy, its CGI is cartoonish, its pacing is frenetic, and its music is loud and nondescript. LaBeouf gets lost in the shuffle, as does any semblance of plot, logic, reason, or sanity. I'd give the movie a 3/10: one point for John Turturro, who's slicing baloney in this installment, and two more points for Megan Fox's chest.

As a hardcore Transformers fan, I think Bay has definitely worn out his welcome. I'm not saying that Transformers is Shakespeare but the comic (especially the UK version) had a wealth of interesting stories and ideas that could have been explored in the movies. Instead Bay just went for the cheap fix of gratuitous explosions and action. I also think he misunderstood when fans said they wanted more screen time for the Transformers, that didn't necessarily mean more fight scenes.

I kept thinking while watching the second one, how different these movies would have turned out if Robert Zemeckis had directed as originally rumored.

So if he really does quit I'd be interested to see what someone else could do with the inevitable third installment. As long as it's not any of the following, Roland Emmerich, W.S Anderson, and Uwe Boll.

I say let JJ Abrams do it! They could have Transformers from parallel dimensions fight each other for dominant space over time continuum.

Michael Bay has quite an impressive resume with box office results.

I still don't like any of his films though.

You guys are lucky to have seen it. Most of my friends saw it the first night without me. I'm down to one relative that hasn't seen it yet. When he's ready I will go to see this latest Baytastic Masterpiece. Oh, and I love all Bay films.
