...And you thought the Transformers 2 trailer was just a compilation of things getting obliterated, check this out (some of the cgi in there are even better than Transformers 2)

Well, it does look very tempting. However, let me laugh my ass off for a few minutes! . . . . . . . . .

Ok, done.

I've studied the whole theory of the Mayan calender (there are two other cultures of the world that have the same calender, one of them Chinese) and it is a calender built on a cycle much different from the Greek calender we use today. In fact, their calender is more accurate.

The Mayan calender works in a cycle that changes every 5000 years, it does not mean the end of the world when that cycle ends! On December 21, 2012, that calender will start a NEW CYCLE! Not the end of existence! Nevertheless, it's nice to see that Hollywood will take that bandwagon of "Doomsday Sayers" and "Paranoid Culture" just to get some ticket sales! Leave it to some Hollywood hacks to send everyone into mass panic! LOL

Holy Crapoly, that trailer looks like the making of another sweet popcorn flick. If for nothing else, looks like good eye candy.

Well Tim, I have a few corrections for you. I believe the calendars we are using now are actually Sumerian calanders, which the greeks used, and the people who think the end of the world is coming because the the calendar ends is just plain stupid. However some scientists now think that either the sun will flare causing bad things or a polar shift might be coming. Those two things are really bad, but who knows. And with movies like this it might actually help with the panic that would happen if something horrible does happen. If you lose TV single for weeks on end and had no idea what happened don't you think you would freak out as opposed to understanding what might be happening?
I think I was gonna comment on something else but I forgot...

Masterscott: if the polars change or the sun flares, it won't matter how many emmerich crap you've seen, you'll still be dead. things like that don't happen from day to day, and they want be as spectacular as the movies. ull be dead before yu now it.

Amazing looking special fx, hopefully it doesn't suck story-wise although by the looks of it there isn't much of a story. The earth basically implodes. I'll watch it, looks entertaining enough.
