Silent Running - an ecological "arc" in space. There was a short lived tv series with a similar theme: an ack-like starship in space for hundreds of years/generations with multiple sealed pods, each having developed unique ecosystems/cultures over time. The series revolved around the crew breaking into the pods and what they find. Does anybody recall the name of the series?
A couple of John Carpenter mid 80's films which I really like:
They Live - aliens among us
Prince of Darkness - someone was really an alien
TV: Masters of Science Fiction - The Discarded - a GREAT episode. The rest of the series was low average.
Man From Earth - a one act play with a fascinating theme. Just dialogue, no explosions. Star Trek related.
I don't know Alphaville, Seconds and Primer. I'll have to look them up on IMDB.
