Mozilla has just released version 3.5 of their FireFox web browser.

Be sure to upgrade to this better and faster browser:

Or if you already use Firefox, just click on the "Help" menu then choose the "Check for Updates" from the drop-down menu.

Just did it on my laptop. It does feel a bit faster. I'll try it on my desltop later. It's sometimes a little troublesome on that machine.

Yes, Firefox did improve its performance with 3.5. It pretty much had to now that Google's Chrome has raised the stakes. I mean, Firefox was feeling painfully slow after using Chrome. Of course, Chrome keeps updating its browser, too, and it's getting faster and faster. Meanwhile, IE8 feels bloated and lethargic.

And I read about "Steel" yesterday. Anybody tried it?

"Steel"? I haven't heard of that one. I can't even find it at download.com.

Have any of you heard that Michael Jackson died?

I guess you were talking about browsing speed, yes it is faster. But i was hoping they would solve their memory problem. Firefox chews my resources like crazy on all my machines. That's were chrome excels, it's very light on the system. If you load a heavy content site on firefox things get really clunky.
