More michael bay foolishness

Found this story yesterday. Just more proof that Michael Bay is an overgrown teenager and a perv.

Critic claims Megan Fox cleaned director’s Ferrari to land role

Megan Fox was forced to lather up and clean a Ferrari to land her breakthrough role in Transformers, according to a British film critic.

The sexy actress shot to superstardom after appearing in 2007’s Transformers and this year’s sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

But the star’s start in Hollywood was anything but glamorous, after director Michael Bay made her clean his expensive car as part of her audition for the role, according to U.K. broadcaster Jason Solomons.

He writes in his film column for the Observer newspaper, “He made her wash his Ferrari while he filmed her.”

And Solomons insists Fox was concerned as to where the footage may have ended up, quizzing an embarrassed Bay over the bizarre audition.

He adds, “She said she didn’t know what had happened to that footage. When I put it to Bay himself, he looked suitably abashed — ‘Er, I don’t know where it is either.’ ”

Fox and Bay have had a famously rocky professional relationship — last month Fox took a swipe at the auteur’s filmmaking stating that the Transformers sequel was “not a movie about acting.” Bay hit back, branding the beauty “ridiculous” while telling her she “had growing up to do.”

How many times are they going to say in the same article that she cleaned his car?

Anyway, he probably asked her to do it to see how sexy she can be while doing something like that. Bay knows what teenage boys want and like so he tries to get the best eye candy for his films. Kate Beckingsale in Pearl Harbour (amongst other beautiful women that were in that movie) and Megan Fox in Transformers. I know he has other movies but I'm too tired to go through them all.

I don't think it's such an unreasonable request to ask someone personally. It seems that the pervs are turning it into something else.

there are legit ways of getting "beauty" shots when auditioning people. if bay told fox to go to his place for a "private" audition, he probably crossed the ethical line, both in terms of actual work and being a lech.

of course, no one forced fox to agree to bay's audition.

they both suck.

Whats so bad about getting a girl to wash your car though? It probably lead to the scene below which males of all ages drooled over.



What was far worse is that scene with her mounted doggy style on the motorcycle in Transformers 2 but hey, it seems like she doesn't mind getting exploited to get the boys mouths watering.

falcon, you're right, she keeps subjecting herself to these kinds of movies. notice how the other hottie in the first "transformers" (rachael taylor) did NOT return for the sequel.

the real eye candy in "transformers":

O.k. since I started the thread I'll weigh in. The thought did cross my mind that Bay's request was actually appropriate and made sense precisely because of the scene that falcon posted. Since you wanted someone who would look sexy around a car and who played a character that was supposed to be knowledgeable about cars in the movie it kinda made sense. Also your primary audience for the movie is adolescent to young adult males so you gear towards your target audience. So if someone is trying out for the part why not see how they can handle a car wash.
However, bay's response when he was asked about where the footage went seems to imply something else was going on. And yes fox probably shouldn't keep putting herself in these situations if she doesn't want to be branded as a certain type of actress. But I'm not going to make excuses for bay either. He really needs to grow up. Just my two cents worth.
