well i normally love super-hero and sci-fi stuff, but i'm not into graphic novels much. The reviews of this film are like marmite.

whats you view on it? are you getting at the end of the month?

i will be buying it, but i am worried i will be disapointed.

Did you read John's review:

We also had a theatrical review:

Of course still interested in what you guys think. Because I'm actually in doubt as well.

I was asking myself this exact same question last night. Especially after reading Eddie's (posters5) review. I could not watch the Motion Comic thing for the life of me. It was sooooooooooooooo boring.

I'm hoping this live action movie is better since it looks good in the trailers. Maybe I'll rent it first.

If you didn't like the comic, I would definately rent it. The comic, even the motion one, is a million times better than the movie. I am holding hope that the directors cut is better though.

Wowzers, doesn't sound too good for the movie. I'm definitely renting it first.

I honestly loved the movie. I thought it was brilliant and really held up compared to the comic. Sure some things and side stories were missing but it was still great. I personally plan on pre-ordering it from Amazon as soon as I can.

i agree with richiro. while i didn't like either one, the motion comic is better than the live-action version.

my interest levels in this film are extremely high, only because i do not know what to expect.

so i have ordered it, as i knew i always would.

its interesting that i am not the only one thats unsure of what it will be like, i know two people that went to see it at the cinema and they both have opposite views on it!!

i always wonder how people can buy a dvd without watching the movie?

I mean, i will buy that title if i liked the film. How can someone buy a DVD and watch it for the first time AFTER spending $19.00?

It doesn't make any sense to me.

As for the film, i sure liked the visuals a lot and how this noir "alternative 80s" world looks and sounds. I'll be honest and say that i was not familiar with the comics and saw the movie "unbiased". The story kinda left me feeling flat apart from Rorschach's jail time, which was by far the most interesting thing in the whole movie as far as character goes. Overall, it's a good disc when it comes to technicalities (Audio / Video / Show-off capability) but there are far more better discs out there for that, which leaves us with the story...for which i wouldn't spend $19.00

well...if i had been to the cinema to see it , it would have cost around £6 + popcorn and other junk, and the cost of the dvd is £10.49 so price wise its not much different. also if i had gone to the cinema i would of dragged the wife along so the cost would be more than a dvd.

unfortunatley my trips to the movies are few and far between, so i usually buy a dvd without having seen it. more often than not this is not a problem, however with this particular film it may be.
