Have we talked about this movie yet (i can't remember). Anyway, it is definitely worth a bit of disscusion considering that IMO it is one of the best movies of the last few years and stars Jean Claude Van Damme. Believe everything that you may have read or heard about this film. It is truly a shocking revelation to see this former joke of a superstar turn in a performance worthy of a Oscar. Van Damme was robbed for not even being in the race for he is indeed that good. I'm not sure what this man started putting in his drinking water but whatever it was it is akin to the transformation The Beatles made with Revolver. And having said all of this I cannot help but feel that something terribly wrong is about to bestow our planet.

while I respect chris's view on the film I tend to side with johns review of the bd and others positive review of the flick. still..this is what message boards are for. to be honest im not even sure if it was a truly great performance or if it just seemed great because it was so unexpected out of this joke of an actor. he kinda pulled a reverse stallone on us...

OK Movie, kinda boring. I like Van Damme but he was essentially playing himself how hard can that be?

Besides the interesting action scene in the beginning I thought this movie was quite stupid. The French humor wasn't working for me.
