jesus i only have 30 odd movies in the format but slowly and surely they are all starting to stop working.

example: just put Blade Runner on and 23 mins in its just frozen!
I am legend :will not play the theatrical version
American Gangster : f@@ks up at the end
Flags of our fathers: will not play all of the film

anyone else have these problems???????

whup ee do...... got it going again (Blade Runner) possibly a dirty disc, but it still f%%ks me off!! at least i have a few Stellas left and the wife and kids have gone to bed tee hee...

I have not had any issues with my discs.

What player do you have?

the problem could be disc rot rather than the player itself.

I'm on my second unit as the first one went belly up!

Considering HD DVD was region free it does tend to be the USA discs that screw up (i live in england)

are your "i am legend" and "american gangster" discs combos? combos were always problematic.

Yes...first I had a freazing problem with Eastern Promises, then with 40-Year-Old Virgin, and then with Letters from Iwo Jima. I have an A-3 player...

The only two HD DVDs that ever froze up on me were Combo discs. And they froze up at about the turnover point from one layer to another. I replaced both discs and have had no problems with the new ones.

I've had no trouble with "Blade Runner," but if it froze up, the disc might have simply had a piece of dirt or lint on it.
