i was talking to one of my friends who is a game designer at Ea for tiberuron branch the one who makes Madden, he says there already useing ps4 hardware kits, supposely sony is pulln the plugg on the ps3, and is gona launch the slim ps3 this holiday season, and then at next years e3 show off the ps4 and launch it in 2011, i guess they wanna get a early jump on xbox, since this gen race is over.
and the info my friend gives me is usually right on so far, but i was a little shocked to hear this myself if true

I second that. The only thing you mentioned that sounds feasible is a console redesign of which I don't see happening this year. As has already been mentioned a zillion times a price drop is what is needed and I expect that to happen this holiday season.

considering that toshiba makes more money off of each PS3 sold (due to toshiba owning the cell processor) than sony does, maybe sony should just outsource every part of the ps4 to toshiba.

This is VERY unlikely.

I don't see a PS4 before 2014/2016.

Lets face it - they haven't even released some of their top games yet on the PS3.

yeah i was a little shocked when my friend told me, but who knows i just thought it was interesting, but im almost certain the console redsign is coming soon, sony is tryn make it cheaper, i was thinking maybe my friend recieved the redsign ps3 dev kits, but he swears its the ps4 dev kits.
