The Village Ending

Which ending did you guys saw? The one i saw in the theater was the girl talking to a truck driver and then to the director himself acting as a gas station smt... But imdb.com states that the ending was re-shot. And on the Disc there is an alternate ending option i think. I Saw the movie in central europe, what version did u guys saw?

I saw an ending that had a mob demonstrating outside of Manoj's barn, telling him never to make a movie again.

Did anyone got the point in all that blank dialog M.Night S. was "acting" ? specially the part with "conversations". is it a reference to another film or smt?

The IMDb reports the trivia that "The ending to this movie was changed. It originally ended with Ivy running onto a highway.... and had a conversation between a truck driver and a gas station attendant. Five months after the shooting wrapped the ending was re-shot."

The ending seen in theaters and on the DVD has Ivy meeting a security guard (who gets out of a truck) outside the compound, a security guard who then goes to his guard station and talks to his security chief (played by director Shyamalan).
