I wonder what is everybody's opinion on this. I personally enjoyed starting credits of Catch Me If You Can but my second pick would be Monsters, Inc.

You?

My all time favorite opening credit sequences are Pulp Fiction and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Amazingly energetic and original credits.

"Any of you fuckin' pricks move, and I'll execute every one of ya mother fuckers!" BOW!!! DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN HE HO HO...HE HO HO! DO DOD DODOD...and then of course the famous changing the station to the song "jungle boogy". Royale with cheese baby. Royale with cheese.

Saul Bass was too good. Catch Me If You Can titles just basically rip off Man with the Golden Arm. Clockers pays a pretty good homage, but Bass remains the best.

Creepiest Credit Sequence: Se7en. Freaks me out to this day.

Sean ('course, I'm a freak, so there ya go!...)

The "Pearl Harbor" end credits--you see, the movie was finally over. :D

I think the credit sequence for LOTR: TFOTR is very poetic, creepy, imaginative, inspiring and a great precursor for what is to come. I realize that the only credits shown is that for the films title, but the way in which it's done, with the violin solo crying in the background, and the text glimmering into view, very stunning. I also love the opening sequence for both "The Matrix Reloaded" and "Revolutions"... I want that clock (watch Reloaded for the joke)...

Seen Terminal last night, finally. Thought the opening credits were pretty original.

I agree, Terminal and Catch Me had great opening credits.

I also liked SEVEN's.

Another recent would have to be Spider Man 2's by the spectacular Alex Ross. Great way to keep the first movie fresh in our minds.

Oh my gosh! How could I have forgotten spidey 2!? That movie does indeed have the best credit sequence as it presents the material better than spidey one did! Ok, spider-man the movie isn't that bad, but 2 is just too good (forgive the pun).

I just realized a credit sequence that doesn't even seem like a credit sequence should be tossed into the ring: Karate Kid II opens with clips from the first movie leading seemlessly into the events in the parking lot afterwards when Miyagi faces John and he throws his fist through a window. Hahaha...classic 80s crap.

Also throw into the hat the opening for Signs...very intense and simple, sets the mood perfectly.
