The link shows live comparison between the PS3 'fat' & 'slim' version. It's very evident that the slimmer 120gb lags behind (on some games). Many are wondering if this is a hardware issue, or just a need for a firmware update...

Also, I know that the xbox 360's xmb gives players the choice to upload all the game data to the hard drive, does PS3 supports the same feature? Then again, this would be a moot point if this 'LAG' issue is due to the slow hard drive access.

I've seen it as an option for certain games. Street Fighter 4 for instance, you can install the min amount of data to play the game, but if you go into the options you can have the choice to install another 1-2 GB to the drive to decrease the load times.

I've seen other games with this option, but not all provide a choice like this...hope that answers your question.

I love the option to install the whole game to the hard drive. Anything on hard drive is bound to be quicker. Figured the PS3 gave that option but if it doesn't then thats a drag.
