View profile »I updated my firmware to v2.4, and now the player isn't playing certain blu-rays properly (e.g. Matrix 10th anniversary, 300 Special Edition...etc)
When the movie plays, it automatically shows the picture in picture, and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off. There seems to be plenty of people having the problem w/ this update.
I'm hoping that one of you may have an earlier firmware update. I don't even care if its the original firmware out of the box.
If you do, let me know, and we can figure out a way to get it to me.
Much appreciated......

View profile »I work in the IT field, and i've ran into Firmware update problems before, however, i usually just call the manufacturer, and they give me the previous update.
I called Samsung, and they told me that i shouldn't have done the firmware upgrade (even though the update was going to add divx capabilities). They also told me they don't have an older version (which i doubt). I'm not too happy w/ their support.

View profile »this is definately the last samsung product i will buy. i was really dissappointed w/ their lack of help.
I've found the old firmware on the net, and i will try it tonight. I'm just hoping it will downgrade.
