Published Sep 9, 2009 Forrest Gump 2-Disc Special Edition will be released November 3rd in a giftset packaged with 11 ounces of various types of chocolate snacks (both Blu-ray & DVD sets).

the best is opening the package to find that the chocolates have melted all over the discs.

I hope it's "real" chocolate and not Paramount pulling a fast one... (just pretending to be chocolate).

I say this because I'm reading on some other forums that some people think it's only a fake image, and the Chocolate Box is just for "looks".

I tend to disagree, since Paramount is charging a higher (premium) price, and all of the info I've found does not indicate that the edition is a "spoof". The image claims to hold 10.9 ounces of chocolate... so I'm taking their word for it that it's the real thing. We haven't received an updated press release yet, but if any details change, DVDTOWN News will let you know.
