I Think its a good epic film, i agree with almost everything in the review, i would like to add that one of Gibson's "Passions" major key for success was not only gore, but a very strong soundtrack (which by it self is nothing more than ambient sound, it really cant stand up by itself except from the last track). The gospel of john soundtrack was just there for pure underscoring purposes...for a theme so glorious and majestic but yet humble to write music on like the life of jesus...i think it was a failure...take for example the very first 2 minutes of the passion, in the olive garden when the flute enters...its just grasping!it puts you right in the mood.

Anyway, i also noticed that the dvd cover (i dont know about the poster or any other marketting products) have many similarities with the Passion. Same font..same colors, same grainy photography, same red-to-yellow lighting....

This is the second time this title has came-out on dvd.
The first one was a 3 disc set (that is now out-of-print) it was made in canada.
As for the new cover for one this is a Buena Vista dvd (Disney) they are trying to sell this one like mel's but trust me this 2 dvd set is not the same as the 3 dvd set.
