This whole thing also sparked the good ol' race card:

http://www.thegrio.com/2009/09/kanye-wests-latest-outburst-at.php

Not to mention, all the Tea Party people that made me utterly sick over the weekend. It truly was living proof that there are a lot of stupid people in the world, and it's not so much sad as it is scary. When are these idiots going to realize that believing in Glenn Beck is like believing anything the National Enquirer writes? Beck is just a well paid actor that gets paid millions to stir up controversy from lies and propaganda. Don't believe me? Keep in mind, this is the same guy that was ready to sue the health care industry back in Jan. 2008 - now the guy is against HC reform and thinks the system is perfect the way it is.

The one thing I really don't get is many of these "Tea Party" peeps want their country back and want our Constitution upheld and defended by the President. Do these people not realize how much Bush and Chenny stomped all over the Constitution? What side are the people on? One (stupid, trailer trash) lady made the comment, "Muslims are taking over our country", yet she wants that Constitution defended. Does she not realize the Constitution preserves our freedom of religion and freedom from religious persecution? Again, lots of very stupid people in the world.

tim,

what can you do?

it used to be that you had to answer every question correctly to get a 1600 on the SAT (before the max score became 2400). however, during the 1990s, the test was "re-centered" because too many idiots were scoring below 1000. therefore, you could miss around 5 questions and still get a "perfect" score.

ugh.

What's really sad is I'm willing to bet that over 80% of these Tea Party people don't even know what the SAT is. From what I saw on camera, it doesn't appear a lot of these people got past 7th grade.

Well, I never said it wasn't entertaining. It's like watching the Redneck Tour of Comedy Central trying to be serious.

OK, regardless of whether you agree with him or not, it is not the place of the President of the United States to call ANY American citizen stupid or a jackass. He needs to get rid of his Hollywood/Rock Star personna and get back to being a President.

I agree, if he's speaking publicly as the President, he should use more civil language. However, he did not make the remark publicly. He said it in private, and it was reported by mistake. I believe what the man says in private is his own business.
