Comingsoon.net has reported that Mr. Bay announced that Transformers 3 will hit theaters on 1 July 2011. You can read the full story there.

I didn't think the first two movies were THAT bad but I was REALLY hoping they would get someone new and make this franchise really kickbutt.

SIGH. I give up. I'm throwing in the towel.
