Ugh, just one reason why I shouldn't have sold my PS3 a year ago. I've got a Crapbox 360, and in order to stream I have to be a Live gold member...and I'm not much of a gamer so to pay extra is stupid just to stream movies. :-( I miss my PS3.

Why would you do that? You could have put that $50 towards a netflix enabled blu ray player. Like the one you can get next week at Best Buy for $99.

Next time you do something dumb, then complain, do some research or put a post up on the forum and we can let you know this stuff.

My brother has one of those Roku boxes, and this summer when I was up in NJ visiting, I saw it in action. It's a neat little toy! I am glad my PS3 will let me have access to Netflix's movies/TV shows. I wonder how the quality of their HD movies will stack up against Blu ray discs. Has anyone here used their Netflix enabled BD player to download HD content?

I have a roku box and it works very well. The clincher for me was being able to pull up netflix movies AND amazon unbox movies as well. Most of the blu-ray players out now don't have both of those services. To have access to your entire netflix queue and your amazon unbox video library gives you access to thousands of movies whether new or old. And roku recently released a firmware update for their box enabling 5.1 surround sound for movies. The roku box is very compact and it will run you a little more that $100.

I didn't pay the $50, I thought it was stupid and I didn't do it. I'm not an idiot. I was an idiot to sell my PS3 for the money though.

Just to let everyone know you don't get new releases on the Netflix streaming. You get a bunch of oldies, but goodies, and tv shows. Still its pretty nice, I have about 200 movies and shows on my instant queue.

Wait a month or 2 after a release and you maybe blessed with streaming it from Netflix.

Tim that grill picture is actually giving praise to the PS3. Soon it will do everything including cook your meal and strean your movies.

I wish they would add a streaming service for us Canadians cause we have nothing better to do in the winter than watch TV. Maybe they will do something with zip.ca or another service. It would be a cool service to have as long as the movie quality is decent.

Tony,
I haven't seen any significant releases this year. The only "new" movies you get are independant and the movies that are on Starz. For example Step Brothers was just now added.
