Go check out their prices on pre-orders. For example Terminator Salvation dvd is $10 and the blu ray is $16.99(many dvd preorders are $10). Plus they are offering free shipping. Amazon has now dropped some of their $27 price tags to match Walmart. Its about time Walmart gets in the game. Their $30 Blu price tags had to go.

Agreed! I never could understand that of all places, Walmart would price their Blu's at the same rape level of most retail. There have literally been times I've seen better bargains at Best Buy over Walmart. Just don't get the logic, sometimes?!

I was at a local Wally*mart and I must agree their BD prices were ridiculous.

I hope this happens up here in Canada because seriously, Walmart is one of the most expensive retailers for blurays. It's unreal.

I would LOVE for them to compete with Bestbuy at least, especially on release day.

Well, they have already started with the price cuts on Blu as I have gotten about four New release Blu Rays from them lately for $20. They have finaly come to their senses.

I've stop getting new releases from Wal-Mart, as a manager refused to match their web site price at wal-mart.ca

Will have to check it out, although I'm not sure what their prices will be here in Canada, but for the last few months I've been getting all my new releases at Futureshop for 24.98 less 10% for price matching a competitor Visions Electronics..

I never buy Blus at Walmart, unless I see one I want in the $10 rack, but that's the only time. They do have a few around the $14 to $16 range, but if you can still get them cheaper on Amazon used - even with shipping expense - then why bother?

Before Blu, I enjoyed the $5-bin. Hopefully this price war will cause a blu $5-bin. Hell, I'll even settle for a Blu $10-bin at this point.
