I just love the fact that we cover movies like this at DVDTown! Thanks, Will, I'll have to check this one out.
By the way, "Xala" and "Mandabi", both by Sembene, were both just released on DVD by New Yorker last month.

Yes, I've been amazed at the wide range of films that have been getting the DVD treatment this year. Like "Xala" which I haven't seen since my undergrad days to "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia." I remember lamenting not having "Bad Day at Black Rock" or "Point Blank" on DVD months and months ago. Now, here they are. It makes me a happy (if somewhat poorer) cinephile.
Perhaps, if I complain about needing DVDs of "The African Queen", "Masculine, Feminine", and "Rolling Thunder" somebody will listen?
Anyways, here's to the continued variety at DVD Town!
